We are a small business which has grown out of our love for creating unique handbags using various wet felt techniques. What started off as a hobby has slowly taken over our spare rooms and our spare time. Our passion for felting has changed our lives.
The Magic of Felt
Having sewn and knitted, we thought we understood wool and fabric, but nothing prepared us for the magic of feltmaking. Watching bright, Merino wool fibres transform into soft, sturdy, felt creations left us amazed and determined to discover how to create this alchemy for ourselves.
Felt Making
Felt making is an ancient craft which can be used for practical and decorative purposes. Felt making can provide a small house or a cosy pair of slippers, a winter jacket or a decorative brooch, an evening bag or a delicate lacy scarf. It is hard wearing and waterproof!
We started our felt making experience by making Nuno handbags (see glossary). Since then we have created large shoulder bags, flowers for weddings, slippers, berets, hats and scarves. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, but you think it could be made in felt, contact us. We accept commissions, particularly for “one off” challenging projects.
We also offer you the opportunity to learn basic felt making. We run workshops and sell kits with instructions, so that you can felt at home.
